That Blows

What a day. What a day. To make a SUPER long story short, we just blew about $500 on a job that we did not get. My husband has had to travel twice to a neighboring state for tests and interviews for a potential job. I don't want to even hash all the ridiculous things that have happened throughout the whole process but it has been so frustrating. We barely have enough money to make it through the end of the year and no job offers at this point. STRESSFUL to say the least. Once again I am faced with adversity. How am I dealing with it all you ask? Laughing first off! Praying fervently and learning from what has happened and what to avoid in the future. Man life is crazy sometimes...... C.R.A.Z.Y!

*sigh (maybe a couple sighs actually or just a really really long one)*

  1. Ah, dang. I'm sorry you guys. Guess it's not where he's supposed to be? In all seriousness, I totally mean that :).

  2. I'm so sorry. We've been going through the job hunt, too, and running out of money in the process. It's hard to keep going when the job rejections keep coming. And while we'd like to be concentrating on our relationship and fighting off addiction and temptation, we are stressing over getting a job and making ends meet. Sometimes I feel like the odds are stacked against us.

But recently we started reading our scriptures and praying together every day. Things got a little less stressful and we're handling everything better. Then last week we actually read our scriptures BEFORE watching TV or doing other projects in the evening. Suddenly we had so much time in the evening. It was so weird that we actually commented on it. I've never seen that happen so obviously before that we suddenly had a surplus of time when we read our scriptures FIRST. People say that all the time, but I guess we never realized it was actually tangible.

Hang in there. Looks like you're being forced to learn patience and frugality and humility just like us. :)
